I enjoyed looking at your new website and good to see you online now. I enjoyed viewing the pics and remembered some of the faces if not the names. I would like to send my very Best Wishes to Bob Lewis UK who sent back my glasses when I left them by his Motorhome when were at Fremantle in 2007 and also enjoyed his company. We have recently moved from Brisbane some 33km south half way to the Gold Coast and settling in nicely in an "Over 50 Resort". A late move for a "young 84 year old" but enjoying it very much. Hoping to go to UK later this year for the last time and also attend the Sharpness Reunion 6-8 August also hoping to catch up with some Vindi friends in the UK plus my own family. We have also booked in for WA Reunion in November and hope one day to catch up with the SA Vindi Boys when we come to your beautiful state in the future.
SMOOTH SAILING..... GORDI

Great to find that you have a guest book running,it's good to read whats happening to you old Vindi boys down under, well done to the web master.
There must be many lads that i sailed with now living in Oz,sadly i have only been able to find one so far,and that was our very good mate George Griffiths from Perth,as most of you know,we lost George last year,he is very sadly missed.
I will keep my eye on this site,i am sure it will be brilliant reading.
Best wishes to you all....Bob Lewis

Great to see a guest book for SA. I just heard about it from Bill Macpherson on Paltalk.
I really enjoyed our trip to Tanunda for the SA reunion. We had a real good time, and like Ron, am looking forward to visiting there again. Unfortunatly, we will not be able to attend Freo this year.

Congratulations on the new site. I will be looking in on it often. Cheers and Beers John

Hi Guys I am classed as a vindi boy but I realy am a Gravesend boy, hope that you dont mind but we are all birds of a feather. I was at sea for about 5 years but did spend some time in Aussie after doing a run job from Singapore with a real bunch of bandits, I worked ashore in NSW then got a second cook and bakers job home, by the way my first ship was Strathnaver which I did 4 trips on. I came to live in NZ some 46 yera ago. I live in a most interestin place called Diamond Harbour, situated oppisite The Port Of Lyttleton and in my retierment I can sit on my deck and watch the ships com and go, Cruse ships, Tankers, Container ships and Ice breakers as Lyttleton is the jump of port for the Antartic, all most interesting.
Cheers John L
